Aiding Neighbors
Myself (Kevrese Flamer-Elzy LPCC) and my husband (Devon Elzy), have collaborated to permanently assist individuals, families, and accompanied youth who are experiencing a housing crisis. We have been in the mental health field for over nine years, assisted individuals and families in crisis for over 10 years, and have other like partners who have also assisted the population in need. Our goal is to provide wrap around services and valuable resources such as mental health, physical disabilities, behavioral disabilities, and additional beneficial services to aid our clients in improving their well-being.
Mission of Aiding Neighbors
a nonprofit organization pursues the establishment for alliance and advocacy representing all individuals in the pursuit of permanent housing. We currently represent Riverside County hosting an average 39% population for homelessness. Our program base outlines assistive services toward garnering health and wellness, government liaison qualification programs, personal social services, financial counseling and money management to include emergency assistance with housing needs. We are mindful of individual and/or family criteria when creating a foundation for these individuals toward reintegration into society. Statistically, it is proven that if your immediate life preservation is on solid footing, you then have the fortitude. stamina and resilience to live a wholesome life while contributing to your community.
We are ever mindful with the turnabout of homelessness during the ongoing trepidations of the COVID. 19 Virus within the United States: however. due to the outbreak in January 2020, the homeless rate has increased 5.5%; in Riverside County. Although Riverside County is not considered by California a rural code 19986(1), it is on the cusp. The need for housing in this community is astronomical. A factor for this is what's considered extremely low income to very low income, the median numbers $16,600 to $39,500 These numbers do not fit with what is considered employee minimum wage $14.00 where true dollar standard averages out to $8.43 an hour less payroll taxes. Clearly, this rate of pay does not offer most working individuals the qualifying dollars necessary to meet the (2.5 sometimes 3.0) number to rent an apartment. This is the hurdle. Perhaps they can pay the rent, but not the move-in costs. These individuals require monetary assistance. Aiding Neighbors Corporation, is that helpmate. Through our programs and assistive collaborators, our charge is to provide these individuals resources to build their self-esteem, education of government assistive programs and the reward.…having a safe place to call home.
Our Goals
Aiding Neighbors Corporation acts as a facilitator for individuals seeking housing, the homeless and indigent population. Our assistive programs offer individuals the hope of being in command of their lives Currently, these populations are bleak, unrewarding due to shelter, lodging and/or housing. Their homes are alleys, vehicles, domestic violence, etc.. We offer the opportunity to harness dignity and self-esteem thereby becoming productive assets to their communities. This is accomplished through our programs, assistive tools and encouragement. Our mission and goal is a collaborative effort within government. outreach agencies, social portals and those individuals that need and require our support.

Devon Elzy
(Chief Financial Officer)
I have always been attentive to help those with mental health disabilities and assist those who are not able to help themselves. My younger brother was diagnosed, at a very young age, with schizophrenia, level three grand mal seizures, and permanent learning disabilities. My mother was a single, black woman, with limited resources and financially unstable. With my mother growing up in a group home, she was inadequate to how to mentally take care of my brother’s immediate needs. I assisted my brother and had to help him get into group homes that would be able to assist him with his diagnosis. Aside from finding my brother a group home to assist him, I also had to transport him to the doctor's office after he had spasms/episodes, helped him pick up medications, and be his keeper overall. I currently still assist him with his financial obligations with SSI, counseling services and setting up his medical obligations. I also find that volunteering at an outreach program and working with other kids with epilepsy, has opened my knowledge to see what steps are needed to assist those with disabilities.
John Mcdade
(Secretary/Intake Specialist)
My name is John Mcdade. I am currently employed by Fed Ex Ground serving as a Campus Pastor with the Chapel of Change Church. My service within the ministry, as well as, organizing outreach programs to the homeless has given me a birds-eye view into the huge problem that plagues our communities. I have a burden on my heart to connect each and every individual with those specific resources they are in need of; thus, allowing them to regain overall control of their lives. Many of them are displaced due to addiction or mental health issues that have gone untreated. My hope is that Aiding Neighbors can began to address this problem that has become such an eyesore in our collective communities.

Javier Morales
(Case manager)
My name is Javier H Morales. My background experience encompasses 17-years of community services. My educational background includes Certification in Substance abuse counseling, Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and currently, studying for a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration highlighting Education. My chosen educational field reflects my purpose to continue to assist communities where the need is most prevalent.
Areas of service include mental and substance abuse, as well as, housing. My career choice and involvement in these services are due to an inspirational instructor whose passion was to assist communities where individuals were seeking improvement and growth in their daily lifestyles. This contagious affect inspired many of us. Migrating from Mexico in the early 80's, I've had the opportunity to learn from both Mexican and American culture. Being in a third world country opened my eyes to how blessed we are. I have seen poverty from a different point of view, that of people in the streets and/or on substances, was hard as a child. Not understanding the reasons why adults and even children go through this, I have made it my mission to assist those who can't help themselves and meet them where they are, mentally and physically; thereby assisting them to meet their lifestyle goals.
